Strategy Inc. Amasses $77.4 Billion in Bitcoin, Dominating Corporate Crypto Holdings
Michael Saylor’s Strategy Inc. has solidified its position as a titan of corporate finance, with its Bitcoin treasury reaching a staggering $77.4 billion. The firm now holds 640,031 BTC, which accounts for an impressive 3.2% of the total circulating supply of the world’s leading cryptocurrency.
A Portfolio Rivaling Major Banks
The company’s journey has been remarkable, transforming an initial $250 million investment that once traded at a loss into a multi-billion dollar digital asset portfolio. Strategy Inc.’s commitment to its accumulation strategy has been unwavering, even through periods of market volatility. In a recent seven-week period alone, the company added another 11,085 BTC to its reserves.
To put its holdings into perspective, Strategy Inc.’s Bitcoin treasury now exceeds the market capitalization of major financial institutions like Deutsche Bank and Barclays. The value of its portfolio is also comparable to the annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of entire nations, such as Uruguay and Slovenia, highlighting how corporate crypto adoption is beginning to compete on a global economic scale.
An Unmatched Lead in the Corporate Sector
Strategy Inc. is by far the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, controlling 48% of all cryptocurrency held by the 266 publicly and privately traded companies that have allocated capital to the asset class. The total value of corporate-held Bitcoin stands at approximately $159 billion, representing 6.6% of the overall supply.
The firm’s closest competitor, MARA Holdings, possesses 52,477 BTC valued at around $6.3 billion, a figure that pales in comparison to Strategy’s massive reserves. Even nation-states are dwarfed by the company’s holdings. El Salvador, the most prominent country to adopt Bitcoin, holds just 6,338 BTC, worth about $762.5 million—less than 1% of Strategy Inc.’s digital treasury.
This gap continues to widen, as El Salvador acquires Bitcoin at a steady rate of one coin per day, a pace far slower than the aggressive accumulation demonstrated by Strategy Inc. in recent months. The real-world value of the company’s digital portfolio is immense, underscoring the significant shift of corporate capital into the cryptocurrency market.
