A New Gateway to Real-World Assets

Bitget Wallet has expanded its partnership with Ondo Finance to integrate Ondo Global Markets on the BNB Chain, bringing over 100 tokenized U.S. stocks and Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) to the massive blockchain ecosystem. This collaboration allows millions of users to buy and trade tokenized shares of major companies like Apple, Tesla, and Microsoft directly from a self-custodial wallet.

The new offering is accessible through Bitget Wallet’s Real-World Assets (RWA) module. It allows users to trade tokenized U.S. equities that are fully backed by underlying securities held with regulated U.S. custodians. Ondo’s tokens are designed to provide total-return exposure, which includes both price movements and reinvested dividends, mirroring the economic benefits of owning the actual securities.

By expanding to BNB Chain, Ondo aims to provide faster and more affordable access for users in Asia, Latin America, and other regions. Users can purchase these tokenized assets with as little as $1 and trade them in USD during extended onchain hours, which align with U.S. market settlement windows.

Connecting Blockchains to Traditional Markets

Ondo’s infrastructure connects directly to traditional equity market liquidity instead of relying on decentralized finance (DeFi) liquidity pools. This design ensures deep, low-slippage markets and straightforward minting and redemption processes, preserving the liquidity of the underlying assets.

Nathan Allman, Founder and CEO of Ondo Finance, noted that expanding to BNB Chain allows them to bring tokenized U.S. securities to a vast and engaged global user base in a cost-efficient and interoperable environment. He described the move as a major step toward making U.S. markets globally accessible through blockchain technology.

For Bitget Wallet, this integration reinforces its position as a key gateway to onchain RWAs. By incorporating tokenized equities into its existing interface for swaps, staking, and DApp exploration, the platform aims to blur the line between traditional market access and decentralized custody.

The Broader Trend of Tokenization

This partnership highlights a larger industry experiment in tokenizing traditional finance. Firms like Ondo are building the legal and settlement frameworks to place stocks onchain, while wallets and exchanges are integrating these systems into consumer-facing products. For investors outside the United States, this creates a simpler path to U.S. market exposure without needing traditional brokerage accounts or navigating local banking intermediaries.

As the product rolls out across BNB Chain, market watchers will be closely observing its liquidity, pricing mechanics, and how tokenized equities are adopted across the DeFi landscape. For now, the collaboration marks a clear push to make U.S. public markets more accessible to the global crypto audience from within the wallets they already use.
