Avalanche and Tether Launch Hackathon at Blockchain Jungle Summit
A Two-Day Developer Sprint Offers a Direct Path to the Startup World Cup
Blockchain Jungle and Dojo Coding are set to host the Avalanche x Tether WDK Builder Sprint, a two-day development competition scheduled for November 8-9, 2025. The event will take place at the Costa Rica Convention Center as part of the broader Blockchain Jungle summit, bringing together developers to build innovative payment applications.
In a unique format, the competition combines an intense, eight-hour coding sprint on the first day with a high-stakes pitch opportunity on the second. Winning teams from the hackathon will earn the chance to present their projects directly to a panel of international venture capitalists during the official Startup World Cup regional finals.
The Technical Challenge
On November 8, participants will have a single day, from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, to create functional payment applications. The technical framework is built on Avalanche’s C-Chain, known for its sub-second transaction finality and low fees, and Tether’s recently open-sourced Wallet Development Kit (WDK), which simplifies the integration of USDT into applications.
To streamline the process, teams will receive a starter kit featuring a pre-configured Next.js application with wallet connectivity and smart contract templates. While the competition is open to developers of all experience levels, a working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript is the primary requirement.
Preparation and Support
To help participants get ready, an optional preparation workshop will be held on November 5, 2025. This session allows teams to familiarize themselves with the starter kit and receive technical guidance from experts at Avalanche and Tether. During the sprint itself, mentors from both Avalanche and Dojo Coding will be on-site to provide real-time support and conduct code reviews.
Prizes and Opportunities
The rewards for the builder sprint extend beyond just USDT prizes. Winners gain direct entry into the Startup World Cup competition, providing a rare opportunity to pitch before international investors. Additional benefits include access to the Dojo Launchpad for founder mentorship and pro memberships to DojoOS, a platform for developers.
How to Participate
Entry into the builder sprint is free, but all participants must purchase a pass for the main Blockchain Jungle conference to access the venue. A discount code, “DOJO25,” is available for sprint registrants. The competition is limited to 50 teams, or approximately 200 individuals, with teams ranging from one to four members. Individuals are welcome and can form teams at the event.
