Anthony Scaramucci Touts Solana as a Leader in Asset Tokenization
SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci gave Solana a significant boost, declaring on CNBC that the blockchain is a top contender in the race to become the industry standard for tokenized assets.
Scaramucci compared the current blockchain landscape to the early days of cloud computing, when investors debated which company would become the next Amazon Web Services. He pointed out that the cloud industry ultimately produced several major winners, suggesting the same will be true for blockchain technology.
According to Scaramucci, the next phase of digital finance will be driven by tokenization, as smart contracts migrate to faster and more cost-effective networks. He believes Solana stands out because its architecture is built on proven computing concepts, making it more accessible to developers than other experimental platforms. This familiarity has helped establish Solana as a go-to platform for builders.
He revealed that Solana is a core position for both SkyBridge and his personal portfolio. Scaramucci likened the firm’s early investment in SOL to its Bitcoin (BTC) strategy five years ago, predicting a similar trajectory where initial skepticism gives way to widespread institutional adoption.
SOL Price Faces Key Resistance
From a technical perspective, Solana is showing signs of a potential recovery. The cryptocurrency is trading above its 100-hour simple moving average after moving past key retracement levels from its recent decline. Bullish momentum is building on the hourly Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is holding above 50.
Despite these positive signals, the token faces tight overhead resistance. Analysts note that the broader market trend remains bearish until SOL can secure a close above $158. A successful breakout could open the door to higher price targets, with the next major level at $176. However, failure to clear this near-term resistance could send the price back toward lower support levels.
It’s also worth noting that Scaramucci is currently promoting his book on the subject, titled “Solana Rising.”
