Ethereum Whale Sells 2,500 ETH, Realizing Loss on Leveraged Position
Details of the Leveraged Position
A major Ethereum holder recently sold 2,500 ETH, valued at approximately $9.67 million, to reduce a large leveraged position on the Aave lending protocol. The transaction was highlighted by on-chain analyst Ai Aunt, who tracks the wallet address 0xC26…7869C.
This sale resulted in a realized loss of about $820,000 for the investor. The sold tokens were part of a larger batch of 2,989 ETH originally acquired between October 13 and October 27, 2021, at a much higher average price of $4,197.
Despite the recent sale, the investor’s position on Aave remains substantial. The wallet still holds 13,504.56 ETH as collateral against an outstanding debt of 37.24 million in stablecoins. The position’s health factor, a metric indicating the safety of the loan, currently stands at 1.16, placing it closer to the risk of potential liquidation.
